On Monday, November 18th, Words Across Europe had the pleasure of hosting two exciting events at the TV Beats Forum in Tallinn. First, we showcased how virtual reality is revolutionizing collaboration among European screenwriters. This included an overview of the WAE programme and a live demonstration of a VR writers’ room with past participants, illustrating the dynamic and innovative nature of our virtual writers’ rooms. Next, we hosted a 1.5-hour hands-on VR Writers’ Room Masterclass for five pre-registered writers. Led by the acclaimed Joachim Friedman—an expert in serial storytelling—the session featured a collaborative story outlining exercise based on a surprise theme. Participants experienced firsthand how Words Across Europe fosters creativity, teamwork, and innovation. But the biggest news? Applications for the next edition of Words Across Europe are now open!
