Looking Back at the Journey’s End

The first WORDS ACROSS EUROPE programme has been an incredible experience for anyone who has been involved in it. As we look back and remind ourselves what has been done, one can clearly see that the programme has brought certain benefits to our participants in such circles in a very short span of time.

One participant, Denise Deegan from Ireland, said it best: “There is no comparison with the other television experiences I have attended. This is by far the best one. I improved my writing abilities, got to know what it is like being a showrunner, explored the industry ( which came handy in other projects), and met wonderful authors.” In a more recent update, Denise currently works with Ana and Aisha on the Zensual project, highlighting the enduring bonds cultivated through this program.

Such high levels of development over such strange timelines are indicative of the efficiency of collaborative setups in the elevation of creativity and storytelling. In these regards, the program has fulfilled its goal of creating a unique environment for writers where other writers help one another and develop new worlds with the integration of all the cultures. It is evident that all the participants are proud of their efforts when even looking in the past in such a way.
